OpenOffice.org as a language learning environment

Some days ago I met some old friends at an anniversary. The discussion went from latest activities each of us is doing to foreign languages learning which was someone's favorite. There were mentions about tools and resources you can find on the Internet today to improve your language skills, free online lessons and language tests, literature freely available in every language, even games and chat usage, etc.

At some point, when asked what methods I would try I said: "I used OpenOffice.org to learn foreign languages!". Of course they asked: how? does it have a language learning module ?

My answer and my thoughts: You all use OpenOffice.org for obvious reasons more or less personal (a sum of reasons to use it is located here: Why OpenOffice.org).

OpenOffice.org has, indeed, all those dictionaries and localizations, but those are only accessory to language learning. I tried for instance the German language interface. And I quite managed to walk through it.
