We’re excited to announce that Songbird is now in public Beta! This update to Songbird includes a new default look and feel, several new features, performance gains, improvements to stability and additional playback capabilities.
OpenOffice 3 Beta has been released. Some of the new features that caught my eye include: support for new features in the ODF file format, support for opening (but not saving) Microsoft’s new Office file formats, charting enhancements, a cool-looking start center, improved notes in writer, and better picture cropping. Mac users will be glad to hear that OpenOffice now has a native UI on the Mac.
Ubuntu users, Firefox 3 beta 5 (3b5) has reached Hardy’s repositories. Gutsy (and older versions) users, enable Hardy repo’s to upgrade it.
To be able to install the extensions that are not supported by this version of firefox (since the new addons website interface which sucks by the way), here’s what you must do to bypass it:
